Location: Remote (Canada-based). Occasional on-site presence may be required in Edmonton, Alberta. Engagement Type: Contract โ€“ Full-Time Allocation (Initial 12 months with possible extensions up to 36 months).

About the Role Skyridge Corporation is seeking an experienced Automated Application Tester to support a major digital delivery initiative with Alberta Education and Childcare. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and accessibility of the LearnAlberta digital platform, which supports curriculum delivery for Kindergarten to Grade 12 across the province. The successful candidate will contribute as part of an agile, cloud-based delivery team, applying sound testing practices and professional judgment in a public-sector environment.

Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated UI and API test suites for web-based applications. - Execute testing across system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) phases. - Review user stories, acceptance criteria, and design documentation to validate testing conditions. - Perform cross-browser, mobile, responsive design, and accessibility testing (e.g., WCAG compliance). - Leverage AI-assisted testing tools such as BrowserStack or equivalent, validating all test outcomes. - Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test data, and quality metrics. - Identify, track, prioritize, and report defects through their full lifecycle. - Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders within an agile delivery model. Mandatory Qualifications - A minimum of five (5) years of experience within the last seven (7) years providing dedicated application testing services for web-based software projects. - At least one (1) year of experience developing and executing automated UI and API tests. - Demonstrated experience working in agile software development environments. - Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, defect tracking, and quality assurance practices. - Eligibility to work legally in Canada and ability to perform work within Canada. - Ability to obtain and maintain satisfactory criminal record and security clearance checks. Preferred Qualifications - Experience testing large-scale or public-facing digital platforms. - Experience with cloud-based and hybrid application environments. - Advanced experience with cross-platform, responsive, and accessibility testing. - Hands-on experience using modern automated and AI-assisted testing tools.

Work Environment This role is primarily remote and aligned with Alberta business hours. A minimum availability of seven (7) hours per business day is expected. All work must comply with Government of Alberta security, privacy, confidentiality, and respectful workplace requirements.
