Software Engineer

Salary: £? - ? per year Requirements We require experience developing application-level software in C++, C#, Java, or a similar language. We require familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern software engineering practices. Knowledge of Data Distribution Service (DDS) is advantageous.

Defence industry experience is advantageous. Responsibilities We will develop and test application software, including sophisticated business logic. We will collaborate with internal algorithm teams to integrate algorithms and implement complex transformation logic.

We will test and verify software functionality and integrations. We will implement and integrate interfaces with other subsystems and external simulators. We will build and extend components within an existing software application framework.

We will deploy software into a virtualised test environment. We will contribute to a demonstration system for a complex new Command and Control capability. The role is inside IR35 and offered on an onsite basis four days per week, with a four-day working week available from Monday to Thursday and some remote working possible depending on the project. This is a long-term opportunity within a team developing a demonstration system for a complex new Command and Control capability, with the potential to evolve into a fully operational development project.
