The Client Engineering department at Kraken is our territory-specific powerhouse. We work hand-in-hand with our global Product Engineering teams to ensure that while we move fast, we maintain high standards of scalability and quality.
We operate in a high-velocity environment where collaboration and pragmatism take precedence over perfection. As we scale into new global markets, we are looking for engineers to join our London hub to support both our established and upcoming territories. About the Role Localize & Implement: Adapt Kraken’s global product suite for specific regional and client-facing contexts.
Responsibilities Accelerated Delivery: Build and ship features on expedited timelines when client needs outpace the core roadmap. Rapid Prototyping: Contribute to MVP-stage builds and inventive new capabilities. System Maintenance: Maintain and scale Python/Django services and REST APIs.
Live Support: Monitor production systems, troubleshooting performance bottlenecks and resolving incidents. Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with delivery teams and product engineers to ensure seamless execution. Qualifications Python Expertise: Professional experience with Python is essential.
Web Frameworks: Proven track record building applications with Django (or comparable frameworks). API Design: Skilled in designing, building, and integrating with REST APIs. Production Focus: Hands-on exposure to optimizing performance in live, high-traffic systems.
Agility: Comfortable navigating ambiguity and thriving in a fast-moving culture. Execution Mindset: A pragmatic approach to engineering—prioritizing shipping value and seeking clarity early.
