Software Engineer (Chelmsford)

Title: Software Engineer Location: Chelmsford, MA (on-site) Salary: $95,000 - $105,000 (direct hire) Summary: Responsible for a range of software engineering responsibilities: software requirements, design, implementation, module and system-level testing, debugging, installation, maintenance, and support. Responsibilities of the Software Engineer: Responsible for all activities in the Software Design Life Cycle (SDLC) Assist with system proposals and scope review (requirements analysis & design) Interact with a cross-disciplinary engineering team (mechanical, electrical, software, imaging) to review and design system solutions to meet customer requirements Occasional travel to customer sites worldwide to participate in concept and technical discussions, or troubleshooting approx. 5% Qualifications of the Software Engineer: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (or other engineering disciplines) with 1 to 5 years of hands-on software development experience in a highly technical, fast-paced, team-oriented environment C# and .NET experience required Other languages that you will use include: C/C++, MATLAB, Image Processing toolbox Proficient with the Windows platform, Visual Studio development tool, Oracle and SQL databases and SVN configuration management tool Proficiency in the English language with good written & verbal communication skills Complete understanding of SDLC and technical requirements Experience with Digital Imaging related software development Experience with integrating APIs for new hardware devices into existing software Experience with real-time hardware programming: Motion control & Heating control Image capture and processing Must be legally authorized to work in the US and must be able to successfully pass a complete background check and drug test Image processing experience ideal Physical Requirements: Must be able to occasionally move up to 25 pounds.
