About the Role Grade Level (for internal use): 12 The IT Application Development team is a dynamic group that thrives in a fast-paced environment while working on innovative projects that drive S&P Global's technology solutions forward. Responsibilities and Impact Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Lead code reviews and mentor junior developers to ensure high-quality code standards. Participate in architectural decisions and contribute to the technical roadmap for innovative projects.

Troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimize application performance in production environments. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices in the software development lifecycle. Qualifications Basic Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience. 8+ years of experience in software development with proficiency in Java programming language.

Advanced knowledge of enterprise Java frameworks and in-memory data stores. Strong experience with database technologies including SQL (such as PostgreSQL or Oracle). Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Proficiency with version control systems and collaborative development tools such as Git, GitHub, or GitLab. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in fast-paced, dynamic environments. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with containerization technologies.

Knowledge of container orchestration platforms. Familiarity with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or DataDog.

Work Arrangement This role requires coming to the office 2 times a week. Compensation and Benefits The anticipated base salary range for this position is $120,456 to $203,380 (based on geographic location, experience, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications). In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
