Passionate about building a service that changes the way customers learn and get hands‑on with AWS services? Join our developer team building AWS services in a scalable and secure way for hands‑on workshops, including Immersion Days and Game Days. This service will help deliver customer workshops at private and public events globally at AWS, as well as for customers and partners to use directly.

In this role you will build and develop solutions for managing one of the largest fleets of AWS accounts in a scalable and secure manner, supporting the broader AWS Field in enabling both internal and external customers. This role offers the opportunity to demonstrate problem‑solving at scale and to own a critical service that is a dependency for other teams. Our team owns services that thousands of AWS Solutions Architects use to work efficiently and securely with hundreds of thousands of customers.

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to develop and maintain account management operations on distributed cloud‑scale systems. Key Job Responsibilities Design and implement fault‑tolerant systems and services that run at large scale and ensure high availability guarantees using AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, API Gateway, CloudFront, SQS, SNS, AppSync, KMS, etc. Define, disambiguate, design, and implement multi‑tier distributed software systems and applications, researching new technology to optimize performance.

Design and implement systems that help our service achieve 5× the current scale within a year and minimize outages while improving availability. Estimate effort, plan implementation, and launch systems that meet requirements for functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, and adherence to development goals and principles. Experiment, innovate, and deliver fast, agile, and reliable solutions with high quality and low technical debt.

Champion the product with a strong sense of ownership and passion for building, improving, and maintaining it. Leverage GenAI to automate operational tasks, maintain runbooks, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides based on resolved incidents, code changes, and operational patterns. Basic Qualifications 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. 3+ years of contributing to new and current systems architecture and design, covering architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers. 3+ years of programming with at least one software programming language. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics, or natural language processing. The base salary range for this position is $143,700.00 – $194,400.00 USD annually.

Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
