You’ll collaborate with a team of passionate professionals and together you’ll push the boundaries of what’s possible with Alexa+. As a SDE II, you’ll drive the development of real‑time Agentic AI solutions that power our next‑generation communication features. You’ll work closely with cross‑functional teams—including product management, sciences, design, and data—to design and deliver innovative solutions that leverage these AI technologies to enable seamless, intelligent communication experiences.

You will also lead the integration of advanced AI systems into Alexa’s core capabilities, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience. Key job responsibilities Build software that runs with high quality on millions of Echo family devices and Alexa‑enabled devices using the latest AI technologies, including large language models. Take a long‑term view of architecture, proactively identifying deficiencies and proposing larger projects.

Understand the business impact of your systems, exercising sound judgment when making technical trade‑offs. Drive engineering best practices (operational excellence, security, quality, etc.) and set standards. When confronted with discordant views, find the best way forward and influence others to follow that path, building consensus.

Basic Qualifications 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience. 2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture experience for new and existing systems. Experience programming with at least one software programming language. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

As a total compensation company, Amazon’s package may include other elements such as sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
