Software Developer

CND are recruiting on behalf of an external client for a Software Developer position within a highly collaborative and agile development team. The team works closely together through pair programming, whiteboarding, and joint architecture design, ensuring every line of code is peer-reviewed. They are passionate about technology and maintain a fun, supportive environment.

Operating under a flat structure, the team shares responsibilities traditionally held by managers, fostering autonomy and mutual assistance rather than hierarchy. Collaboration extends across product owners, account managers, and operations teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences and maintain application stability. The team follows the Scrum framework to deliver value iteratively and embraces flexibility in working location, balancing office presence with remote work based on project needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with product managers, product owners, designers, and fellow developers to create high-quality software solutions
• Engage in pair programming, collaborative architecture design, and whiteboarding sessions
• Participate in sprint planning and preparation with the product owner team
• Collaborate with account managers to ensure customers receive the best possible experience
• Work alongside the operations team to maintain application stability and performance
• Contribute to a culture of peer review and shared responsibility within a flat team structure
• Follow agile principles and Scrum practices to deliver value efficiently
• Familiarity with source control systems, specifically Git
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Comfort with pair programming and peer-reviewed code

Desirable and Developing Skills

While not essential, experience or willingness to learn in the following areas will be highly valued:

• Accessibility best practices and standards for front-end development
• Testing frameworks and methodologies
• Software design best practices
• Continuous learning and contributing to team development
