Software Developer III MUST BE LOCAL TO WASHINGTON, D.C. ONSITE 3 DAYS A WEEK IN D.C. Job Description AWS Cloud Developer: Develop and maintain data ingest pipelines; code and process high-volume financial data from multiple external sources.

Independently code and query data. Strong SQL skills, Python, and some C#. Experience with AWS serverless services and databases such as Redshift, RDS, SQL Server, Postgres.

ETL processing, data validation/troubleshooting, enhancements and maintenance. Parsing data from multiple formats, building/modifying pipelines, handling schema changes. AWS Cloud Developer certification required and must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

What You Will Do Serve as a member of an Agile team to provide engineering support and maintenance of services and processes that migrate and promote data and algorithms to the AWS cloud environment and supporting cloud databases. Design, code, test and implement AWS cloud-based solutions. Work with the customer and Peraton team on requirements gathering and task estimation.

Perform routine data checks, code development and quality checks. Support database planning, design and implementation. Support systems analysis, design and implementation.

Support code reviews and cloud deployments. Provide regular status updates on progress both within the Agile framework and via weekly status reporting. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science and 5 years of experience or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years of experience.

Familiar with tools such as AWS API Gateway, Lambda, S3, Git, Jenkins, EC2, Step Function, Hive, Glue Catalog, Spectrum, Athena, SNS, SQS. Experience with Python and XML. Strong experience in analyzing and designing data migration strategies to load data from on-prem data warehouse to cloud data warehouse (Redshift and RDS).

Experience in ETL process using AWS resources. Knowledge of industry XML data exchange message formats; experience with XML, FIXML, or FPML is a plus. AWS developer certification.

Financial Industry experience is a plus. Must be US Citizen able to obtain CFTC clearance and cannot start before cleared. Preferred Qualifications Active Public Trust or other active clearance.

Master's degree in business, finance, computer science, statistics or related field and 2 years of experience. Bachelor's Degree is a plus. Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
