IMP Group International is seeking a Software Developer for our Corporate Information Technology department in Halifax, NS, to work within the Microsoft ecosystem, develop data environments, and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities Design, develop, and support applications using Microsoft development tools (DevOps, .NET, C#, SQL Server, React, TypeScript, Data warehouse tools such as Analysis Services, Azure, Fabric, PowerBI). Build and maintain data integrations and reporting solutions using SQL, PowerBI, realâtime API calls, and dataâwarehouse technologies. Contribute to DevOps practices including source control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments.
Leverage AIâassisted development tools (Microsoft Copilot, Anthropic Claude, Azure Foundry) to improve productivity, code quality, and documentation. Build solutions on enterprise platforms such as SharePoint, PowerPlatform (PowerAutomate, PowerApps). JDEdwards development and support.
Work closely with application support, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver reliable and secure solutions. Consider security, performance, reliability, and data governance in application and data architecture decisions. Experience working in large, multiâdivision organizations across multiple Microsoft tenants and network domains. Preference given to those with experience with JDEdwards EnterpriseOne, ERP integrations, or payroll/finance systems. Exposure to regulated or securityâsensitive environments (e.g., defense, aerospace, government, financial services) with knowledge of secure development practices (e.g., OWASP) aligned with enterprise and aerospace/defense industry standards.
Experience with data integrations, governance, access controls and audit requirements, with the ability to document solutions clearly for operational support and compliance purposes. Ability to pass relevant government security clearances (Security clearance request process â Canada.ca).(Information on Canadian and U.S. security clearances.) Selfâdirected, detailâoriented and able to balance development and production support across technical and nonâtechnical stakeholders.
