Meet the team
We are the Social Media Team managing video and audio channels including RTÉ One, RTÉ2, RTÉ Player, RTÉ Jr, RTÉ Kids, The Late Late Show, RTÉ Radio 1, RTÉ 2FM, Audio App channels. We create and deliver highly impactful social content across video and audio.
We are looking for an experienced Social Media Lead who will be responsible for the delivery of a cohesive and planned social strategy across channel and programme brands delivering audience engagement on social platforms.
Reporting to the Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of your assigned channel (in this case the newly set up Audio App channels working across all audio output including Podcasts), where you will ideate, shoot, edit, design and direct compelling pieces of short form social content growing the channels and driving consumption.
About the role
- Working as part of a highly collaborative and creative social team across Audio and Video
- Originating and adapting third party content for use across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and X
- Focus on growing the newly created Audio App channels across Platform to drive awareness of and consumption of high-quality audio content with a focus on our Podcasting slate
- Working towards best-in-class visualization of audio content
- Using analytics to create content calendars designed to engage the target audience
- Engaging with the audience using the appropriate channel tone of voice
- Monitoring trends and reacting to changes in social media to continue platform growth
About you
- Qualification in Social Media, Communications, Video Editing, Production or similar
- Minimum 3 years' experience working exclusively in a Social Media role
- Experience working in Radio or Audio environment preferred
- Excellent technical skills in shooting, editing, graphics - Adobe Suite preferred
- Deep level of understanding of each of the social platforms and social audiences
- Experience reporting on Social Media campaigns
- Flexible approach to working hours seeing programme activity through to live transmission
This appointment will be made at the Multimedia Coordinator Grade and is being offered on a 3 year Fixed Term Contract basis. The salary scale for this grade is from €46,140 to €60,259 gross per annum.
