Job Description Job Description Site Manager – Ground-Up Multifamily Development Brooklyn, NY $250,000 – $350,000 Description / Position Overview Large-scale real estate developer is seeking a senior Site Manager to lead major ground-up multifamily developments with direct experience overseeing projects exceeding 500 units. This role exists because large-scale projects fail when field execution lacks structure, urgency, and operational control. The company needs a proven field operator who has already led highly complex multifamily developments at scale and knows how to keep large active jobsites moving without losing accountability, sequencing, or momentum. This is a highly hands-on leadership role responsible for full onsite execution from pre-construction through completion. The right person will own field operations, drive subcontractor accountability, solve issues quickly, and maintain strong execution across every phase of the project lifecycle. Candidates must have proven experience overseeing 500+ unit ground-up multifamily developments. Yiddish speaking preferred. Responsibilities Field Leadership & Execution • Lead onsite execution of large-scale ground-up multifamily developments exceeding 500 units • Own projects from pre-construction through final delivery • Maintain daily operational control across large active jobsites • Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, engineers, architects, and field teams Scheduling & Operational Control • Drive scheduling, sequencing, and trade coordination across all phases • Maintain site organization, accountability, and operational momentum • Identify and solve execution issues before they impact timelines or delivery • Ensure field operations align with project milestones and ownership expectations Accountability & Problem Solving • Hold subcontractors and field teams accountable for execution standards • Resolve coordination and construction issues quickly and decisively • Maintain strong onsite leadership presence throughout the project lifecycle • Ensure projects remain operationally organized and moving forward under pressure Ownership Partnership • Partner directly with ownership and senior leadership throughout execution • Provide visibility into project progress, risks, and operational challenges • Ensure projects remain aligned operationally, financially, and strategically Requirements • Proven experience overseeing ground-up multifamily developments exceeding 500 units • Strong field operations and pre-construction experience • Ability to lead large active jobsites with multiple trades simultaneously • Experience driving scheduling, sequencing, and trade coordination at scale • Strong leadership, communication, and execution skills • Comfortable operating in fast-moving, high-pressure construction environments • Ability to solve problems quickly and maintain project momentum • Yiddish speaking preferred • Must be onsite in Brooklyn, NY Must-Haves • Ground-up multifamily construction experience • Experience overseeing 500+ unit developments • Strong onsite operational leadership • Pre-construction involvement • Full project lifecycle ownership experience • Proven execution leadership on large active jobsites Success in This Role Looks Like • Large-scale projects remain on schedule and operationally organized • Trade coordination issues are resolved before causing major delays • Field teams and subcontractors operate with accountability and urgency • Ownership has confidence in site leadership and execution • Projects maintain strong operational momentum through completion • Execution issues are identified and solved before impacting delivery This is a strong opportunity for a proven construction operator who wants meaningful ownership over major multifamily developments at scale.
