Site Engineer

Location: Suffolk



The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Engineer to join a leading specialist contractor delivering works on one of the UK's largest infrastructure programmes.

Working on a major civil engineering project, you'll be responsible for coordinating day-to-day engineering activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards while supporting the successful delivery of complex geotechnical work packages.



Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day engineering activities across site.
  • Ensure works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and project requirements.
  • Manage labour, plant, materials and subcontractor coordination.
  • Prepare and maintain QA documentation, site records and as-built information.
  • Support look-ahead planning, programme management and productivity reporting.
  • Assist with NEC contract administration, Early Warnings and change management.
  • Promote the highest standards of health, safety and quality across site.


About You

We're looking for candidates with:

  • Previous experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering, infrastructure or ground engineering.
  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience working on major infrastructure, piling, geotechnical or heavy civils projects.
  • Good understanding of NEC contracts and construction processes.
  • Strong communication, planning and organisational skills.
  • CSCS and SSSTS or SMSTS certification.

Experience with AutoCAD, MS Project, CEMAR or similar project management software would be advantageous.
