This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging construction professional looking to develop their career while working alongside experienced Project Managers, Site Managers, subcontractors, and consultants on a diverse range of commercial projects.

About the Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Site Engineer plays a key role in supporting the successful delivery of projects through project administration, documentation management, quality assurance, site coordination, and stakeholder communication.

You will work closely with site-based teams to ensure construction activities are completed in accordance with contractual, regulatory, and company requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Project Administration & Documentation

  • Maintain and manage project documentation using systems such as Procore
  • Ensure drawings, shop drawings, and construction documentation remain current and accessible
  • Prepare, coordinate, and manage Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and quality records
  • Maintain project registers, including concrete, labour hire, waste, calibration, and reinforcement records
  • Assist with monthly project reporting and cost documentation
  • Coordinate and collate handover documentation, manuals, warranties, and as-built information

Site Coordination & Quality Assurance

  • Verify materials, services, and completed works meet project requirements
  • Coordinate inspections with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Attend and document site inspections and quality assurance activities
  • Assist with site logistics, including deliveries, equipment, and temporary services
  • Maintain photographic records of project progress

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients
  • Support proactive communication across all project stakeholders
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative project culture

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Promote safe work practices and compliance with CIP's HSEQ Management System
  • Participate in ongoing training and support continuous improvement initiatives

About You

You are organised, proactive, and eager to learn. You enjoy working in a fast-paced construction environment and have strong attention to detail.

  • Degree or Diploma completed or currently studying in:
  • Construction Management
  • Quantity Surveying
  • Engineering or related discipline
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities

Highly Regarded

  • Previous experience within commercial construction
  • Exposure to structural, services, or finishes trades
  • Experience using project management platforms such as Procore
  • Understanding of construction methodologies and project delivery processes
