Overview Morton Thomas & Associates, Inc. (AMT) is an employee‑owned consulting engineering firm and a top engineering firm, offering multidisciplinary services including engineering, environmental, landscape architecture, surveying, construction administration and inspection. Location Washington, DC office. Position Site / Civil Engineer Responsibilities Assisting the project manager in the preparation of construction documents, design of site and infrastructure improvements including grading, dry and wet utilities, erosion control, and stormwater management.
Preparation of calculations and reports that support design. Processing construction documents through regulatory agencies in the District of Columbia. Construction administration duties as assigned.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. 0-2 years of experience in design of mixed-use, residential, commercial, institutional, and public site development projects. Primary experience in the District of Columbia and/or suburban Maryland and Northern Virginia preferred. EIT required.
Ability to prepare plans, specifications and cost estimates. Ability to assist with the preparation of engineering studies and reports. Technical proficiency in AutoCAD (including Civil 3D) and/or Microstation.
Candidate Qualifications Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without employer sponsorship.
