Job Description
As part of Top Notch Torque Ltd., the Grande Prairie Shop plays an integral part of the maintenance, coordination, and upkeep of our Torquing and Tensioning equipment. Reporting to the Shop Manager, the Shop Hand will be responsible for general maintenance and organization as well as supporting the installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of equipment. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, demonstrate continuous effort to improve, decrease turn around times, and work cooperatively with coworkers to provide high quality customer service.
Key Responsibilities: The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to: General facility up-keep, maintenance and organization Wash equipment that comes back from field General maintenance of shop tools, equipment, and vehicles Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand, skid steer or hand truck Loads or unloads trucks picking up or delivering supplies General assembly work that may require operating automated machinery and various power/hand tools Inspects all assembly parts and reports defective material or questionable component conditions to management Assist with special projects and cover for multiple positions when staffing levels are low/production or operating demands are accelerated (Possible Field Work) General housekeeping of the facility Focuses on continual improvement and customer service. Actively engages in and seeks out opportunities for continual improvement in personal, process, and daily operations. Facilitates a cooperative working environment Other general labor duties as required
Qualification and Educational Requirements: The successful candidate will have: Grade 12 or equivalent education Machining experience or related qualifications would be an asset Valid Safety tickets including H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, Skid Steer, CSO Must have a Valid Drivers Licence with a minimum of 3 years driving history Experience working in the oil and gas industry with an understanding of process and equipment Mechanically inclined. Experience performing routine and preventive maintenance on rotating mechanical equipment maintenance would be a bonus. Ability to stand, climb, bend, and lift up to 50lbs for extended periods of time Strong commitment to health, to safety, to the environment and to customer service Ability to work well under pressure and in stressful situations Experience Preferred
