Job Description

The Waverly Inn one of New York’s most iconic places to eat and drink is hiring! We believe in the power of providing unforgettable experiences with our dining and events programs and we are currently looking for a Service Manager to join the team. The role is responsible for active management of staff and service, reporting directly to the general manager.

This key position works closely with our reservations, kitchen and management team daily to provide a seamless experience for all of our guests. Ideal for candidates with experience in reservations, scheduling, or guest facing roles that execute events, looking to expand their skills towards restaurant and event management. Immediate consideration given to candidates with the following qualities: Minimum 1-year experience in high volume restaurant or hotel environment.

Candidates with upscale NYC or luxury dining experience given priority. Strong working knowledge of food and beverage service with hands on experience and the ability to lead a team of 10 - 20 Candidates must be excellent communicators in a front of house position, both with guests and staff Microsoft Office and Google applications used every day. Basic working knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel required.

This is a full time hourly position with a set Sunday - Wednesday Schedule. The position includes weekends and holidays and we are only looking for local to NYC Metro candidates with open availability through 2026 at this time. Compensation based on experience with benefits including healthcare, vision, dental, shift meals, transit discounts and a great work environment.
