Job Description
Our client is searching for a Service Manager to join their team. This role will be responsible for tracking and ensuring adherence to preventative maintenance and regular service scheduling. A successful candidate will ensure all necessary staff, parts, fluids are scheduled so that regular servicing can occur.
Responsibilities Coordinate activities of mechanics on repair priorities Coordinate needs of the mechanics with the parts department Play a direct role in educating drivers regarding proper unit care and maintenance Meet with and coordinate needs of the Operations Managers from different lines of business Develop enhanced preventative maintenance guidelines and protocols based upon observed experience Issue work orders to mechanics for completion, ensuring completion and enter into the management software Assist with interpreting parts requisitions from mechanics to parts personnel and ensure all work and parts are properly recorded Review driver pre and post trips notes and issues within the system for information on needs and issues to ensure they are being completed correctly Develop monthly and annual budgets, as well as sufficient inventory backstock for needed critical components that might have long delivery timelines Qualifications Journeyman Red Seal Mechanic certification is required Experience overseeing heavy truck operations Familiarity with diagnostics and repairs Proficiency with various diagnostics programs, with preference given to Fleetio #J-18808-Ljbffr
