About the Restaurant
High Street is an acclaimed restaurant and bakery located in the historic Franklin Building at 9th & Chestnut. We serve contemporary American cuisine—including handmade pasta, sourdough pizza, and elevated hoagies—for lunch, brunch, and dinner.
High Street features two private event spaces and hosts a variety of special occasions and private gatherings. We are proud to be part of the James Beard Award-winning High Street Hospitality Group (HSHG), alongside sibling restaurants Fork, a.kitchen+bar, and Bar Cicci.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Manager to oversee daily service execution, lead the guest experience, and support staff development in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Floor Supervision & Service Execution: Maintain an active floor presence during service, executing High Street standards. Hold team members accountable to section responsibilities, handle guest recovery, and elevate the overall guest experience.
Pre-Service Operations: Oversee dining room setup, floorplan creation, menu printing, and Toast POS updates. Partner with the Chef and General Manager on pre-shift notes, conduct pre-shift meetings, manage schedule call-outs, and ensure smooth, on-time openings.
Post-Service Operations: Complete detailed shift reports, manage server cuts efficiently to control labor without sacrificing service quality, review tip sheets, oversee side work completion, and secure the building at close.
Private Dining & Events: Collaborate with the General Manager on event staffing and execution. Lead the events team on-site, serve as the primary host for private groups, and process event finalization through Toast and Tripleseat.
Operations & Team Development: Assist with onboarding, training manuals, and food/beverage reference materials. Manage staff scheduling and labor targets, maintain administrative back-end organization, and help foster a positive workplace culture.
