Service Engineer

Position: Security Maintenance & Reactive Call Engineer Job ID: 3562/3 Location: South Wales (Cardiff & surrounding areas) Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per year (DOE) Type: Full-time, Permanent Benefits Company pension Cycle to work scheme Employee discount Referral programme Company events 30 days holiday including bank holidays (Christmas & New Year shutdown) Commission scheme (up to 5%) Overtime available (optional) Call‑out rota with standby & additional pay Responsibilities Carry out routine maintenance of intruder alarm, CCTV, and access control systems Attend reactive call‑outs, diagnose faults, and resolve or escalatory where required Complete electronic job sheets accurately and in a timely manner Communicate effectively with customers regarding works, updates, and follow‑up actions Feedback to the Operations Manager regarding additional works, upgrades, or rescheduling needs Represent the business professionally when on‑site across commercial, local authority, and domestic properties Participate in a call‑out rota (approx. 2 weeks on call, 3 times per year) Qualifications and Requirements Minimum of 5 years' experience working with security systems (intruder alarms, CCTV, access control) Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a proactive, can‑do attitude Good communication skills and professional manner when dealing with customers Self‑disciplined and organised in completing and reporting work Full UK driving licence Must be able to pass BS7858 security screening, Enhanced DBS check, and police check #J-18808-Ljbffr
