Senior Web Systems Developer
Pinnacle Safety and Training
Job Description
Pinnacle Safety and Training – Murarrie QLD
Help us take ownership of our Drupal platform and build better internal systems
Pinnacle Safety and Training is looking for a hands‑on Senior Web Systems Developer to help us strengthen internal ownership of our Drupal 10 eCommerce platform, improve integrations, and build practical web-connected tools that support our staff, customers and business operations.
This is not just a "maintain the website" role. You will help us stabilise and improve our Drupal platform, work with external development and hosting partners, support customer portal capability, and deliver internal systems/process improvements that reduce manual work and fragile workarounds.
At a glance
Own and improve a new Drupal 11 eCommerce platform
Help shape customer portal capability for course bookings and self-service
Build and improve internal systems, workflows, dashboards and integrations
Work directly with Business Systems, Sales, Marketing, Operations and Leadership
Reduce reliance on external vendors through better relationships, documentation, standards and internal capability
Join a national training organisation supporting 125,000 students each year
What you’ll work on
You’ll start by building a clear understanding of our Drupal 11 eCommerce environment: the codebase, configuration, workflows, hosting, integrations, support model, risks and improvement opportunities.
You’ll work with our external development and hosting partners to validate issues, support warranty assurance, improve documentation, and help us make evidence‑based technical decisions.
As the platform stabilises, your focus will broaden into practical internal systems and process enablement. This may include customer portal capability, internal staff tools, dashboards, reporting interfaces, workflow improvements, API‑led integrations, and better governance around how internally owned systems are changed and supported.
You’ll probably thrive in this role if you
have strong Drupal experience, ideally Drupal 10 or Drupal 11
have proven experience with custom modules, configuration, workflows, content/data modelling and platform support
can troubleshoot across code, configuration, hosting, intergrations and business process
have experience with APIs and web‑connected business systems
enjoy working with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
can work with external vendors and managed hosting/support partners
value documentation, maintainability and knowledge transfer
like solving practical business problems, not just completing tickets
have an eye for detail (you spotted the one intentional spelling mistake in this ad... as well as any of the unintentional ones)
Useful experience, but not all essential
We’d be especially interested if you have experience with:
eCommerce, booking, ticketing, course registration, event, travel, accommodation or finite‑inventory platforms
customer portals or self‑service systems
internal business systems, workflow tools or operational dashboards
education, training, university, LMS, RTO or compliance‑heavy environments
Cloudways, AWS, Acquia, GovCMS, Docker, CI/CD or managed hosting
Looker Studio, Power BI, Google Sheets dashboards or operational reporting
Zapier, Make, Apps Script, middleware, low‑code tools or API‑based automation
We don't expect one person to be an expert in everything. The most important things are strong Drupal/web systems fundamentals, good judgement, curiosity, clear communication and the ability to build sustainable internal capability.
You’ll love working with us
