The Opportunity
We are looking for an accomplished Senior Vice President to join our AEOI and AML Services team as part of our financial services business in Montreal.
The Senior Vice President will be responsible for leading the administration and management of FATCA and CRS compliance and AML for our fund administration and regulatory services clients.
Your primary responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing multiple operational teams supporting AML and AEOI services across various jurisdictions and client segments, ensuring high quality service delivery and acting as the primary escalation point for client service issues.
- Overseeing investor due diligence activities related to AEOI and AML/KYC, ensuring compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Ensuring the timely preparation, review, and submission of FATCA and CRS annual filings in accordance with applicable reporting deadlines.
- Ensuring investor onboarding and periodic reviews are completed in line with jurisdictional requirements.
- Driving workflow optimisation, technology adoption and process improvements initiatives.
- Monitoring service levels, key performance indicators, and operational risks, implementing appropriate controls and remediation plans where necessary.
- Leading change management and continuous improvement initiatives to improve service quality, efficiency and client outcomes.
- Partnering with internal stakeholders to develop, maintain and enhance Standard Operating Procedures, process documentation, and training materials.
- Provide operational insights, management reporting, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership to support strategic decision‑making.
- Fostering a high-performance culture by coaching, developing and driving staff engagement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to support business objectives and deliver exceptional service.
What You Bring
In addition to a commitment to delivering superior candidate and stakeholder experiences, the successful candidate will:
- Be a university graduate, with an excellent academic background, and at least ten years of progressively responsible experience in FATCA, CRS, AML/KYC or related regulatory services in the investment funds or financial services industry.
- Possess a strong working knowledge of FATCA and CRS regulatory requirements, including investor due diligence, account classification, documentation validation, and reporting obligations.
- Possess a strong working knowledge of AML/KYC regulations, investor onboarding, periodic reviews, remediation activities, and ongoing monitoring requirements, including reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Be able to demonstrate experience leading and developing operational teams in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment, managing workflows and performance against established goals and service levels, while maintaining a high standard of quality and client service.
- Have experience in monitoring and managing key performance indicators, identifying process improvement opportunities, and ensuring departmental objectives are achieved through effective leadership and team management.
- Have strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret regulatory requirements and assess documentation against established standards.
- Possess a high degree of attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
- Have excellent organisational, communication, stakeholder management, and prioritisation skills.
- Have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, with advanced Excel, reporting, and data management skills.
