We are looking for a Senior Verification Engineer to lead verification efforts for a world-leading wireless IP company shaping the future of IoT connectivity.

About the Position

As a Senior Verification Engineer, you'll own verification strategy and execution for current and next-generation connectivity IP. You'll architect comprehensive UVM testbenches in SystemVerilog, lead coverage closure efforts, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with design architects and system validation teams to ensure exceptional quality.

This is a leadership role — high technical autonomy, full ownership of verification processes, KPI tracking, mentorship, and continuous improvement. You'll work on cutting-edge wireless protocols in a team that ships products to billions of devices worldwide.

What you'll build

• Comprehensive UVM verification environments from scratch or enhancement of existing frameworks
• Testbenches that thoroughly exercise Bluetooth/15.4 MAC and PHY designs
• Advanced verification strategies: coverage-driven verification, constrained randomization, formal property checks
• Verification metrics and KPIs that track progress towards quality goals
• Mentor junior verification engineers and establish best practices across the team
• Process improvements to verification methodologies, tools, and flows

What we're looking for

• 7–10+ years of hands-on ASIC/IP verification experience — you've owned verification projects end-to-end
• Expert-level UVM and SystemVerilog — designing testbenches, implementing scoreboards, constraint generation
• Proven track record with testbench development, test case creation, and coverage closure
• Deep understanding of coverage-driven verification methodologies
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in complex verification scenarios
• Leadership and mentorship experience — you can guide and develop junior engineers
• Excellent communication skills — articulating verification strategy and progress to stakeholders
• Fluent English (written and verbal) — you'll collaborate with international design and system teams

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of wireless communication protocols (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, UWB, 3GPP, 802.15.4)
• Experience with formal verification or property-based verification
• Python programming for verification automation and tooling
• SystemVerilog advanced features: packages, interfaces, modports, virtual classes
• Functional safety verification (ISO 26262, DO-178) or protocol compliance verification

• Bluetooth specification and protocol layers
• Wi-Fi, UWB, or 3GPP standards (advantage)
• Formal methods and property specifications

Location & Travel

This role is fully remote in Portugal or Spain. Initial and periodic travel to the client's HQ may be required to support onboarding and key project milestones.
