Senior Traffic Engineer

Sikand is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to join our team. We are looking for an experienced professional who can independently lead and prepare traffic engineering deliverables, coordinate with agencies and clients, and provide technical oversight on a wide range of traffic improvement and transportation projects. This position is ideal for a senior level engineer with strong experience in traffic signals, signal modifications, signal interconnects, and traffic control plans, along with the ability to manage projects and mentor junior staff.

Key Responsibilities Prepare and oversee plans, specifications, and engineering documents for: Traffic signals Signal modifications Signal interconnect systems Traffic control plans Coordinate with public agencies, utility companies, clients, and project teams Manage traffic engineering projects from concept through design and approval Review traffic engineering plans for compliance with agency standards and applicable codes Provide technical leadership and quality control for traffic engineering deliverables Support preparation of cost estimates, proposals, and scopes of work Assist with permitting and agency review processes Mentor junior engineers and technical staff Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field California Professional Engineer license preferred Significant experience in traffic engineering design and plan preparation Strong working knowledge of MUTCD, Caltrans standards, and local agency requirements Proven experience handling traffic signal plans, modifications, interconnects, and traffic control plans Strong communication, coordination, and project management skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines Preferred Experience Experience working with Southern California cities, counties, and transportation agencies Familiarity with signing and striping, street improvement plans, and utility coordination Experience with AutoCAD and traffic engineering design software What We Offer Opportunity to work on diverse public and private infrastructure projects Collaborative team environment Competitive compensation based on experience Opportunity for leadership and professional growth #J-18808-Ljbffr
