Senior Technical Account Manager, Strategic Industries - Global Financial Services

Overview

In this Senior TAM role, you will act as the primary technical advisor for Global Financial Services customers, guiding cloud strategy and risk management. You’ll partner with customer senior leaders and AWS engineers to drive adoption of AWS services and ensure operational health. You will shape end-to-end technical roadmaps, aligning workloads with business objectives and industry regulations.

The role blends technical leadership with customer-facing strategy, focusing on AI-enabled modernization and resilient operations.

Responsibilities

• Proactively craft and execute adoption strategies for AWS services across multiple domains (Compute, Storage, Databases, Networking, Serverless)
• Act as a trusted technical representative within customer environments, guiding discussions with senior leadership
• Own and align technical strategy for assigned customers across compute, storage, networking, security, data, and applications
• Define and maintain operational frameworks (DevSecOps, Operational Excellence, Target Operating Models)
• Ensure operational health through reviews, proactive monitoring, and custom runbooks
• Leverage generative AI tools to accelerate troubleshooting and provide guidance, including AI service adoption for modernization
• Use AI agents for workload discovery, deep-dive reviews, and resilience assessments to deliver actionable recommendations
• Travel up to 10% as needed
• Engage CTO-level stakeholders and translate cross-domain work into strategic recommendations

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Math, or a related field
• 5+ years of design/implementation/operations/consulting with distributed applications
• 5+ years of technical engineering experience
