Job Description We are seeking a Senior Systems Verification Engineer to join our Space and Defense Group Spacecraft Avionics team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in requirements verification, embedded systems, and electronics test planning and a proven ability to plan and execute requirement verification by analysis and test for avionics hardware and software . Responsibilities: Participate in cross-functional product teams to execute program deliverables for assigned spacecraft avionics products.
Create and maintain test plans and procedures to verify embedded system requirements across software, firmware, and electrical domains, including high-speed digital, power, and mixed-signal, under varied mechanical and environmental conditions. Author, maintain, and train technicians and engineers on procedures for environmental qualification, system requirement verification, and production acceptance testing. Manage verification of technical requirements for specific hardware configurations and generate documentation artifacts to demonstrate compliance.
Follow and apply standard business and program process documents for assigned efforts. Perform engineering analyses to verify hardware and software requirements, including worst-case circuit, stress/derating, gate-level timing, signal integrity, safety/hazard, FMEA, and reliability/radiation analyses. Generate, organize, and maintain technical data, reports, drawings, and procedures; use configuration management processes to release and update documentation.
Execute and manage engineering tasks to meet scope, schedule, and budget commitments. Required Skills & Qualifications: BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (or equivalent). 6+ years engineering experience; 10+ years preferred in aerospace/defense or related domains. Proven experience in digital, power, and/or mixed-signal electronics design, including printed circuit board design and prototyping.
Experience with embedded computer systems architecture and development, including microprocessors, microcontrollers, and FPGA/ASIC. Test planning and execution for unit, subsystem, and system-level verification across environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, vacuum, shock, vibration, EMI/EMC, and immersion. Authoring test plans, procedures, and scripts for verification, qualification, and acceptance testing.
Systems engineering analysis and requirement verification for space electronic systems. Aerospace/Defense system modeling and requirement development experience.
