Senior Software Engineer

Salary: $115,000 - 125,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance; candidates who cannot secure one should not apply.
• We are looking for a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• We expect 10+ years of experience leading or executing software development efforts, ideally within aerospace or defense.
• We need strong software architecture skills, including the ability to define vehicle-level software structure, modules, functions, interfaces, and features.
• We require hands-on experience with software development, programming, integration, and testing.
• We expect verification and validation experience, including fault handling, real-time execution, and memory/data management.
• We want proficiency in multiple programming languages, including Python and C/C++, with MATLAB preferred.
• We require excellent communication skills for conveying technical information clearly.
• We need experience preparing technical documentation such as requirements, specifications, test plans, reports, manuals, training materials, and proposal content.
• We expect the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team.
• We require familiarity with CMMC, ISO-9001, and/or AS-9100 quality standards.
• We value strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Preferred experience includes embedded algorithms or code for PMAD, GNC, and Control and Stability systems.
• Preferred familiarity with Linux and other real-time operating systems.
• Preferred familiarity with networking technologies such as TCP/IP, CAN, RS232, RS485, RS422, WiFi, and Bluetooth.
• Preferred familiarity with ISO-9001 or AS9100 quality management practices.
• We also note that 8 years of software development experience is listed as required.
• Secret clearance is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• We will rely on you to shape the technical direction of our products by developing architectural concepts.
• We will ask you to collaborate with cross-functional teams to define needs, scope features, and deliver solutions that support business and user goals.
• You will write clean, maintainable, well-tested code that follows best practices and coding standards.
• You will troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in production environments.
• You will participate in software configuration management and control board meetings.
• You will work with our Quality Assurance team to implement and sustain software quality and configuration management controls.
• You may contribute to software development, integration, verification, and test activities across the system architecture.
• You may support the development of embedded algorithms and code for vehicle subsystems.
