Senior Engineer- Guidewire ClaimCenter (Contract) Number of positions 1, 6-month initial contract with potential extension Location: anywhere in Canada, if close to an office of the client, 2d/w onsite Must be eligible work in Canada Roles and responsibilities Looking to hire a Senior developer with solid Guidewire ClaimCenter. Operating within a Guidewire Cloud (Mammoth version) environment, you will develop, implement, and maintain a complex ecosystem of business applications. Agile framework experience is a must.
Design & Development: Lead the design and development of complex application features, acting as the technical lead for medium-to-large initiatives. Solution Architecture: Collaborate with solution analysts and business stakeholders to produce technical designs that align with enterprise standards. SDLC Ownership: Manage the software development process from user story decomposition and requirement review through to final delivery.
Code Quality: Conduct peer code and design reviews, providing coaching to junior team members to maintain high-quality coding standards. Integration & Configuration: Develop and configure software within existing enterprise platforms, managing dependencies across integrated systems and data. Quality Assurance: Ensure robust delivery through the creation and execution of automated tests and the enhancement of existing testing frameworks.
Must have skills/experience/qualifications # At least 5 years of hands‑on experience in Guidewire application development specifically on the Guidewire platform, with a focus on ClaimCenter. Cloud Proficiency: Experience with Guidewire Cloud is highly preferred; being Guidewire Certified (Associate or ACE) is a significant asset. Technical Stack: Strong skills in GOSU, web services, and database management.
Familiarity with Git, Bitbucket, TeamCity, Jira, and Confluence is an asset. Industry Knowledge: Previous experience within the Insurance industry is a major plus. Soft Skills: Proven ability to foster teamwork, excellent analytical problem‑solving skills, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
