Senior Software Development Engineer Test

Our client is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to play a critical role in defining and scaling quality engineering practices across a modern cloud-based software platform. This individual will be responsible for designing QA processes, building repeatable and automated testing systems, and driving quality throughout the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate is a strong software engineer with deep test automation expertise, capable of developing robust frameworks, improving test coverage, and partnering closely with engineering and product teams to ensure high-quality releases .

Key Responsibiliti esDesign, implement, and continuously improve scalable QA processes and automation strategie s.Develop and maintain automated test frameworks for web applications, APIs, and backend service s.Create reliable, maintainable, and reusable test automation solutions using modern testing tools and best practice s.Design, create, modify, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and validation strategies at both system and user level s.Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and DevOps teams to integrate quality practices throughout the development lifecycl e.Identify testing gaps, improve test coverage, and proactively address quality risk s.Drive continuous improvement of testing methodologies, automation capabilities, and release processe s.Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards and best practice s.Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated testing into deployment workflow s.Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and provide actionable feedback to development team s. Required Qualificati ons5+ years of experience in Software Development Engineering in Test (SDET), Quality Engineering, or Software Engineering with a strong focus on automati on.Strong object-oriented programming experience in Ja va.Deep understanding of software engineering principles including abstraction, design patterns, reusable libraries, and scalable architectu re.Hands-on experience building and maintaining UI automation frameworks using Seleni um.Strong experience with API automation and testi ng.Experience developing automated testing frameworks from the ground up.Experience creating and executing test plans for both functional and system-level validati on.Strong understanding of CI/CD practices and automated quality gat es.Experience working in Agile software development environmen ts.Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical skil ls. Preferred Qualificat ionsExperience testing cloud-native applications within AWS environme nts.Familiarity with microservices architectures and distributed syst ems.Experience with performance, integration, and end-to-end testing strateg ies.Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kuberne tes.Experience with test reporting, monitoring, and quality metr ics.Exposure to modern DevOps practices and infrastructure automat ion.
