Kestra Holdings is seeking a Junior Salesforce Developer to support the ongoing modernization and scale of our Salesforce ecosystem across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Financial Services Cloud (FSC), Marketing Cloud, and AI-enabled capabilities. This role is ideal for a Salesforce technologist who has a strong foundation in configuration and development concepts and is ready to grow through hands-on delivery in an enterprise environment.
You will work closely with Senior Developers, the Technical Architect, Solution Architect, Product Owners, and cross-functional partners to configure, build, test, and document scalable platform solutions that improve advisor and home office experiences.
What Youll Do:
- Build and Configure Salesforce Solutions: Assist with Salesforce configuration and development using Flows, custom objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, custom metadata, Apex, and Lightning Web Components under senior technical guidance.
- Support User Stories and Technical Delivery: Translate defined requirements and acceptance criteria into clear technical tasks, partnering with Product Owners, Senior Developers, and architects to clarify scope and expected outcomes.
- Develop Foundational Code and Automation: Contribute to well-structured Apex, LWC, and declarative automation while learning and applying Kestras coding standards, design patterns, and quality expectations.
- Assist with Integrations and Data Work: Support Salesforce integrations, data updates, and data migration activities using tools such as Data Loader and APIs, with appropriate validation and review.
- Participate in Testing and Defect Resolution: Support unit testing, regression testing, UAT triage, and production issue resolution to help ensure reliable, high-quality releases.
- Follow Platform Governance and Security Standards: Apply guidance related to Salesforce security, sharing, data quality, compliance, and performance standards.
- Support DevOps and Release Processes: Participate in version control, deployment preparation, CI/CD activities, and release documentation as part of the Salesforce delivery lifecycle.
- Document Technical Work: Create and maintain clear documentation for configuration, development changes, testing notes, and deployment support materials.
- Learn and Grow Salesforce Expertise: Stay current on Salesforce releases, platform capabilities, Trailhead learning, and emerging best practices, including automation and AI-enabled platform features.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work with developers, architects, product, QA, and business partners to support Kestras Salesforce transformation and ongoing platform operations.
What You Bring:
- 3+ years of Salesforce experience in development, administration, configuration, internships, project work, or equivalent hands-on learning.
- Foundational knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud; exposure to Financial Services Cloud is a plus.
- Experience or familiarity with Salesforce configuration tools including Flow Builder, validation rules, page layouts, record types, custom objects, fields, and permission concepts.
- Introductory knowledge of Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, REST/SOAP APIs, or Salesforce integration patterns, with a strong willingness to deepen technical skills.
- Basic understanding of Salesforce security, data modeling, governor limits, and development lifecycle concepts.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery, user stories, acceptance criteria, and tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and comfort asking questions to clarify requirements and design intent.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical partners.
- Interest in financial services, wealth management, advisor platforms, or regulated technology environments.
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field preferred; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
- Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, or Platform Developer I certification preferred or in progress.
