Job Description

Global Quality Assurance – Senior Software Engineer in Test As a Senior Software Engineer in Test in the GQA, you will be responsible for ensuring software quality using efficient and reliable test automation. The ideal candidate has built multiple stable, scalable, and reliable automated suites that have been running successfully in production environments and provide extensive quality benefits. Additionally, we are looking for a QE leader who cares about the user experience and has a passion for quality, learning, and collaboration.

Roles & Responsibilities Scope and Complexity: Create and execute test cases for complex feature enhancements to validate user stories, collaborating with other engineers. Build and extend automated tests, contribute new code, analyze test results, and increase automated coverage. Execute and build tests using existing suites written by peers.

QA Fundamentals: Decide on test coverage for new features and determine sign‑off for features or releases based on best practices. Consider team automation capabilities and understand unit, integration, and end‑to‑end or user journey tests. Execution: Apply black‑box test methodology to run test cases and document bugs.

Use available tools (network monitoring tools, debug logs, performance dashboards, etc.) to validate acceptance criteria and provide debugging information to SDEs. Contribute to automated testing efforts. Operations: Document new features and requirements from a testing perspective.

Own regression testing and release testing coordination. Influence: Influence team processes and testing methodologies through discussions with peers and management. Persuade peers in prioritization decisions by documenting impact and severity of bugs and performance issues.

Communication: Communicate effectively with clear defect write‑ups, work with developers and product managers to understand requirements, and engage stakeholders and adjacent teams. What to Bring 6‑9 years of experience, knowledge of various test activities including automation testing, regression testing, UI/API testing, etc. Experience driving test design and implementation.

Ability to write high‑quality and stable automated test cases using existing frameworks. Understanding of test cases, test data, test runs, and test results management that provides feedback and visibility to quantify test coverage. Effective collaboration with development teams across multiple time zones and locations.

Ability to review automated test run results, triage failures, and verify results. Organize test case inventories that minimize the number of test cases while maximizing test coverage. Understanding of multiple test types including unit, functional, integration, end‑to‑end, security, performance, load, and UI tests.

Must Haves UI Automation – Selenium/Appium. Mobile Automation – Appium or other tool for Android/iOS. CI/CD – Jenkins/Github Actions.

Source Code Management – GitHub/SVN. Test case management – Jira/TestRail/Qmetry. Good understanding of digital product development and testing for web, mobile, backend services.

Ability to scout emerging industry trends such as AI testing and other best‑in‑class processes (nice to have). Coding language – JavaScript/Java. Championing Inclusion at WBD Warner Bros.

Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros.

Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $91,000.00 - $129,000.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short‑ and long‑term incentives, and program‑specific awards.
