Job Description

Job Summary

ArisData.ai is seeking a Senior Snowflake Solution Architect / Lead Architect to architect and lead enterprise Snowflake implementations.

This is a senior, client-facing role requiring deep Snowflake expertise, strong enterprise data architecture experience, and excellent communication skills. Candidates must have personally owned architecture across multiple Snowflake implementations and be comfortable independently leading technical discussions and architecture workshops with U.S.-based customers.

Mandatory Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, cloud platforms, or data architecture.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience.
  • 4+ years working specifically as a Snowflake/Solution Architect.
  • Served as Lead/Primary Architect on at least 3 end-to-end enterprise Snowflake implementations.
  • Experience owning projects from discovery and architecture through implementation and production.
  • Strong customer-facing consulting and technical leadership experience.
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end architecture for enterprise Snowflake implementations.
  • Lead customer discovery, architecture workshops, and technical design sessions.
  • Develop current-state and target-state architectures and solution design documents.
  • Architect scalable data ingestion, transformation, modeling, analytics, and AI solutions.
  • Design batch, real-time, data warehouse, and lakehouse architectures.
  • Define Snowflake security, RBAC, governance, data masking, and access-control strategies.
  • Lead Snowflake performance, workload, and cost optimization.
  • Architect and lead cloud data warehouse migration and modernization initiatives.
  • Guide engineering teams through implementation, code/design reviews, and production deployment.
  • Evaluate architectural alternatives and clearly explain recommendations and tradeoffs.
  • Support technical solutioning and customer presentations when required.

Core Technical Skills

Snowflake: Snowpark, Snowpipe, Dynamic Tables, Streams & Tasks, Iceberg Tables, Secure Data Sharing, RBAC, Data Governance, Performance & Cost Optimization.

Data Engineering: SQL, Python, ETL/ELT, Data Warehousing, Data Modeling, Lakehouse Architecture, Batch & Real-Time Ingestion.

Cloud: AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Integration: Experience with tools such as dbt, Fivetran, Matillion, Informatica, ADF, AWS Glue, or similar.

DevOps: Git, CI/CD, Terraform or equivalent.

Analytics: Power BI, Tableau, Sigma, Looker, or similar.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SnowPro Core and/or SnowPro Advanced Architect Certification.
  • Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Consulting/professional services experience.
  • Experience working directly with U.S.-based enterprise customers.
  • Experience in Healthcare, Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing, or Insurance.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for an architect first—not simply a strong Snowflake developer with an Architect title. Candidates must be able to discuss at least 3 enterprise Snowflake implementations where they personally served as Lead/Primary Architect, including the architecture they designed, key decisions and tradeoffs, security/governance approach, performance considerations, technical challenges, and business outcomes.

The successful candidate must be capable of independently leading customer architecture conversations and clearly explaining what should be built, how it should be built, and why.
