In this senior‑level position, you will design, develop, and support the control architectures and robotic solutions that powers a nationwide network of advanced manufacturing facilities. Your work will directly influence how the organization's automation platform scales, adapts, and maintains consistency across multiple sites. Client Details The company is a rapidly growing industrial automation company specializing in advanced packaging and assembly solutions for the food and beverage sector.
The company focuses on creating highly efficient, technology‑driven production environments that integrate robotics, mobility, and modular system design to streamline manufacturing operations. Description Lead System & Controls Architecture Create, refine, and maintain PLC programs and HMI interfaces for sophisticated packaging and assembly lines. Define control‑system standards, templates, and best practices to ensure consistency across all locations.
Own Robotics Integration Program, tune, and deploy both industrial and collaborative robots, including development of toolpaths, safety logic, and application‑specific routines. Oversee the full lifecycle of robotic deployments—from concept through commissioning. Standardize & Scale Automation Build and maintain a unified code base and configuration framework that enables seamless replication of equipment across multiple facilities.
Translate operational requirements into scalable controls solutions that can be implemented across stationary installations and mobile platforms. Commissioning & Deployment Lead the controls portion of new equipment installations, working closely with OEMs, internal engineers, and cross‑functional project teams. Travel to sites when needed to bring new systems online, troubleshoot complex issues, and train local maintenance teams.
Technical Leadership & Escalation Serve as the senior technical resource for advanced controls and robotics challenges. Mentor engineers and technicians on best practices, system design approaches, and troubleshooting techniques. Innovation & Future‑Facing Work Prototype new automation concepts, evaluate emerging technologies, and contribute to R&D efforts focused on speed, flexibility, and mobility.
Develop strategies that support upcoming integrations such as SCADA/MES systems and expanded remote‑access capabilities. Profile Education: B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field (or equivalent "battle-tested" field experience). Experience: 8+ years in manufacturing automation, specifically within packaging, high‑speed sortation, or FMCG.
Extensive hands‑on experience with PLC platforms (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or similar), including advanced motion control. A strong background in robotic programming for industrial robots (e.g., Fanuc, ABB) and collaborative platforms (e.g., UR).
