Senior Research Associate - Screening / Protein Purification Company Overview An early-stage genomics company developing next-generation innovations in sequencing and advanced nucleic acid detection. The company is building: A single-molecule DNA sequencing technology designed to enable ultra-long read lengths, low error rates, and significantly reduced cost per genome A portable, field-deployable diagnostic platform capable of delivering rapid, high-sensitivity, sample-to-answer results in minutes These technologies aim to expand access to genomic insights across research, clinical, and population-scale applications. Position Overview Seeking Senior Research Associates with strong experience in protein purification and assay workflows to support screening and platform development efforts.

This is a hands-on laboratory role focused on protein production, purification, and characterization to enable development of next-generation sequencing and detection technologies. Key Responsibilities Design and execute protein expression and purification workflows (e.g., affinity, ion exchange, SEC) Perform protein characterization and quality assessment (e.g., SDS-PAGE, Western blot, activity assays) Support development and execution of screening assays Optimize workflows to improve yield, purity, and reproducibility Collaborate cross-functionally with chemistry, biology, and engineering teams Analyze and document experimental data; communicate findings clearly Maintain accurate laboratory records and follow best laboratory practices Qualifications BS or MS in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related life science field ~5–8+ years of industry experience Strong hands-on experience in protein purification and characterization Experience with assay workflows and screening approaches Ability to troubleshoot and optimize experimental protocols Strong organizational and communication skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced R&D environment Ideal Start Date: May 2026
