Senior Research Analyst & Team Lead

▌ ROLE OVERVIEW The Team Lead will anchor the Gujarat research unit, overseeing day-to-day intelligence operations, coordinating output across analysts, and ensuring all deliverables meet the quality and confidentiality standards required for senior government consumption. ▌ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead a team of 3–5 researchers handling media monitoring, ORM (Online Reputation Management), social media audits, and fact-checking • Plan weekly and monthly research calendars aligned with government communication priorities • Prepare high-stakes reports, briefing notes, and presentation decks for senior CMO officials • Synthesize political, media, and social intelligence into actionable insights • Coordinate with state government departments for scheme-level data verification • Establish and maintain SOPs for the team's research and reporting workflows • Manage escalations, flag risk narratives, and recommend counter-narrative strategies • Ensure all outputs are verified, source-cited, and formatted per CMO standards ▌ REQUIRED SKILLS • Strong command over Gujarati, Hindi, and English (written & spoken) • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace • Working knowledge of digital media landscape in Gujarat — key portals, journalists, influencers • Ability to read and interpret political situations and government data accurately • Experience drafting formal reports, briefings, or government-style documents • Basic understanding of social media analytics tools (Talkwalker, Meltwater, or similar) ▌ QUALIFICATIONS • Graduate in Political Science, Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Policy, or related field • Postgraduate degree preferred • 2–3 years of experience in political research, government communications, media monitoring, or journalism ▌ PREFERRED BACKGROUND • Prior exposure to Gujarat state politics, BJP organizational structure, or government scheme landscape • Experience working in a newsroom, think tank, government advisory role, or political campaign environment Languages Gujarati (mandatory), Hindi, English Work Style High confidentiality, deadline-driven, detail-oriented Requirement Political awareness, team-oriented, discretion with sensitive government information
