Senior QC Engineer

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) is a leading power engineering consultant firm that provides engineering, system planning and studies, technical consultation, project management, surveying, environmental planning, commissioning/testing and construction services to electric utilities, energy developers and industrials throughout the U.S. Our experience includes system voltages from 4.16 kV through 765 kV. Responsibilities Supervising and coordinating QA/QC design reviews as well as final sign‑off of documents issued for procurement and construction.

Instilling a professional design reputation with ECI clients, as well as encouraging the highest quality work with team members. Providing encouragement, insight, mentoring and challenge to team members who are all part of the QC process. Reviewing technical design packages, including highly advanced and unique technical work performed by others and providing technical reviews and oversight, including mentorship to associate staff.

Minimum Requirements Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, 10+ years’ substation design experience or a combination of applicable education and experience as determined by management; PE license strongly preferred. The successful candidate must be an expert regarding industry standards, procedures, and processes, and have a complete knowledge of substation & relay engineering principles; must be able to perform all drawing review duties accurately, efficiently, and with no instruction or input needed from the project manager or others. The successful applicant may be subject to client‑mandated drug and background checking.

Occasional travel/driving is required; therefore, the successful applicant will be subject to ECI’s auto insurance carrier requirements. Applicants must not require immigration sponsorship now or in the future. Salary commensurate with experience and education.
