Job Description Job Description POSITION SUMMARY Smith & Oby is seeking an accomplished and results-driven Senior Project Manager to join our team in Walton Hills, Ohio. In this senior-level role, you will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of complex construction and mechanical systems projects from pre-construction through final closeout. Drawing on extensive industry experience, the Senior Project Manager provides strategic oversight, mentors junior project staff, and serves as a key point of accountability for project delivery, client relationships, quality, safety, and profitability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Review opportunities and qualify projects to bid Attend pre-bid walk-throughs Perform computer-driven estimates and prepare bid documents Prepare budgets, issue subcontracts, and prepare schedules Track, report, and invoice projects Manage change orders Handle customer inquiries and complaints Prepare close-out documents Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and superintendents Develop and maintain a knowledge base of evolving products and services Provide leadership and mentorship to Project Managers and project support staff Serve as a senior point of contact for key client accounts and strategic relationships QUALIFICATIONS 6 or more years of project management experience in construction and mechanical systems Ability to read drawings and estimate Ability to build rapport with clients Ability to prioritize and multitask across multiple concurrent projects Positive and professional demeanor Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent computer skills 4-year degree in Construction Management or Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience; candidates with 5 or more years of hands-on experience in the mechanical construction field will be considered in lieu of a degree WORK ENVIRONMENT Office-based role in Walton Hills, OH with occasional site visits to project locations Collaborative and fast-paced environment requiring flexibility and adaptability Powered by JazzHR HvPQtz98QY
