Senior Project Manager - IT Operations

Mastery Consulting, with over 30 years of experience delivering specialized IT consulting and technology solutions, is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to join a strategic engagement with one of our U.S.-based clients.

In this role, you will lead a large-scale IT Operations integration initiative across two global organizations, coordinating cross-functional teams spanning Service Desk, Telephony, ServiceNow, Infrastructure, Network, and Security. You will play a key role in delivering a unified IT support model, driving operational excellence, and ensuring successful execution across multiple regions.

Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead the consolidation of IT Operations teams, including first- and second-level support, into a unified and modern IT support organization across two global companies. This transformation will be powered by ServiceNow and supported by a global follow-the-sun operating model.

You will own the end-to-end, multi-workstream project plan, simplifying how employees receive IT support, streamlining telephony and IVR services, and improving service quality and operational efficiency at scale. You will work closely with Infrastructure, End User Computing, Network, Telecom, Security, and ServiceNow teams to coordinate platform enhancements, process harmonization, and data and knowledge migration activities.

This role offers high executive visibility, involves managing complex dependencies, and provides the opportunity to make a significant impact on the overall employee support experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project management for large-scale IT initiatives.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with business stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, including technical teams, business units, and third-party vendors.
• Identify project risks and dependencies, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with IT governance, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate project status, risks, and key milestones to executives and stakeholders.
• Maintain resource plans and proactively address resource constraints.
• Manage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting.

Required Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of experience leading large-scale IT infrastructure, operations, or integration projects across multiple regions.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering enterprise-level IT initiatives involving multiple workstreams and vendors.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project management methodologies.
• Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, and ServiceNow.
• Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, business case development, and risk management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced or fluent English, with the ability to lead meetings and communicate effectively with global stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL v4, or equivalent Project Management certification.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITSM (Incident, Request, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and CMDB).
• Previous experience leading IT Service Desk or IT Operations consolidation initiatives.
• Experience coordinating global teams in a matrix organization.

Work Environment

This is a fully remote position. The primary working schedule follows the U.S. Central Time zone. Due to the global nature of this role, occasional meetings outside regular business hours may be required to collaborate effectively with international stakeholders across multiple time zones.
