Job Description

Responsibilities Develop, monitor, and maintain project budgets and schedules, coordinating staff assignments as authorized by the Engineering Group Manager. Sign and stamp design drawings or reports for work supervised. Develop proposals and business development activities.

Mentor junior staff and assign tasks to other engineers or technicians. Conduct site visits, field investigations, and design analysis as required. Prepare design concepts, project plans, specifications, and oversee the preparation of design documents.

Use computer programs and spreadsheets for engineering analysis and presentations. Edit word‑processing documents and manage data filing, retrieving, and data transfer, maintaining project files according to company document retention guidelines. Communicate with the Project Manager or Engineering Group Manager regarding job progress, difficulties, and administrative issues.

Ensure successful completion of assigned projects and perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills Knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, and practices in the relevant technical specialty. Required Experience Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited university. 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.

Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited university. Licensure, Certifications, and Registrations Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of the home or branch office. Physical Requirements Must regularly lift/move up to 25 pounds and infrequently lift/move up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to walk several miles in extreme weather conditions. Must stand, walk, use hand fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Must reach with hands and arms.

Must talk and hear. Must sit, climb/balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl at times. Work Environment Regularly works in varying outdoor weather conditions with potentially loud noise levels.

Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to fumes and airborne particles.
