Job Description Senior Project Engineer within CIMA+’s Infrastructure sector will lead and manage diverse municipal projects across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Canada. Responsibilities Lead and manage project teams through all phases of project planning, design, construction, and commissioning of municipal projects (renewal, potable, waste and storm water). Be supported by technical experts from multiple disciplines to successfully deliver projects.
Manage project resources, schedule, budget, quality management and project risk assessment on behalf of CIMA+ to meet client expectations. Prepare and supervise engineering studies, environmental assessments, reports, calculations, plans and contract documents, cost estimates, and construction documents. Provide subdivision application review and comment services on behalf of Municipal clients.
Lead and assist in the pursuit of new projects, including the development of technical scope workplans, schedule, project team organization, and task-level budgets. Build relationships with existing and potential clients; liaise with clients, consultants, regulatory and utility agencies, project stakeholders and contractors. Coordinate and mentor intermediate and junior staff on fundamentals of project delivery and general project management skills.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Licensed Professional Engineer in Alberta and/or Saskatchewan. Minimum 10 years of directly applicable experience in working with land development and/or municipal clients in engineering or project management roles, with a focus on Alberta and Saskatchewan clients.
Proven experience in managing project teams on small, medium, and large consulting projects. Proven track record of successful business development, and of fostering client relationships. Excellent communication skills.
