Job Description
The PMO Consultant is responsible for providing structured programme management expertise across MSP client implementations and operational change activity within HeadFirst Globals GCC in Hyderabad. The role delivers governance, coordination, and delivery assurance across the full implementation lifecycle from initial mobilisation through to hypercare and steady-state handover ensuring programmes are delivered on time, within scope, and to the required quality standard.
Working in close partnership with the Customer Success, VMS Technical, and Talent Management functions, the PMO Consultant acts as the central coordination point for programme activity managing interdependencies, maintaining documentation, tracking milestones, and driving accountability across internal and client-facing workstreams.
This is a senior individual contributor role requiring demonstrable experience of structured programme or project delivery within an MSP, staffing, or workforce solutions environment.
Programme Governance & Delivery:
- Own and manage the end-to-end delivery of MSP client implementation programmes, from initial mobilisation through to hypercare and steady-state handover.
- Develop and maintain programme plans, RAID logs, governance frameworks, and milestone trackers across all active implementation workstreams.
- Chair regular programme governance meetings with internal leads and client stakeholders, producing accurate and timely status reporting.
- Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating to senior leadership where required.
- Ensure all programme documentation is maintained to a high standard and stored in line with agreed knowledge management practices.
MSP Implementation Coordination:
- Act as the primary coordination point between Customer Success, VMS Technical, IT, Legal, Finance, and client-side teams throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Lead discovery and scoping activity with clients, translating business requirements into structured workstream plans with clear ownership and timelines.
- Coordinate UAT planning and execution, ensuring sign-off gates are met and go-live readiness is confirmed prior to launch.
- Manage the transition from implementation to business-as-usual, including training needs, process documentation, and hypercare support.
- Track and report on client satisfaction and programme health throughout delivery, flagging concerns early and driving resolution.
Operational Planning & Continuous Improvement:
- Define and embed consistent PMO standards, templates, and delivery methodologies across the GCCs programme activity.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities across implementation processes, reducing time-to-live and increasing repeatability.
- Produce and maintain MI dashboards, capacity plans, and operational reporting to support leadership decision-making.
- Partner with the VMS Technical Consultant to ensure technology workstreams are integrated into programme plans and tracked effectively.
- Lead retrospectives and lessons learned reviews at the close of each implementation, embedding findings into future delivery cycles.
Stakeholder Management & Reporting:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with client programme leads, internal business owners, and senior stakeholders across onshore and offshore teams.
- Produce clear, accurate, and audience-appropriate programme reporting for both internal leadership and client consumption.
- Represent the GCCs programme delivery capability confidently in client-facing settings, including implementation reviews and governance forums.
- Support commercial conversations where required, providing operational input to scoping, SLA definition, and contract activity.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 2+ years experience in programme, project, or PMO delivery within an MSP, staffing, or workforce solutions environment.
- Demonstrable track record of coordinating or managing end-to-end client implementations or operational change programmes to successful delivery.
- Strong understanding of MSP programme structures, VMS platforms (e.g. SAP Fieldglass, Beeline, VNDLY), and the contingent workforce lifecycle.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging at senior and client-facing levels.
- High proficiency in programme governance tools including RAID logs, programme plans, and MI reporting.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to distil complex information into clear, actionable outputs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project management tooling (e.g. MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent) is desirable.
- PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent project management qualification is advantageous.
- Experience working in or with a Global Capability Centre or offshore delivery model is desirable.
