SENIOR PRODUCT DEVELOPER ( SWEATER)

DESIGNATION : Senior Product Developer – Sweater PACKAGE : Open to discuss in US Dollars COUNTRY & COMPANY : Bangladesh | Leading Multinational Apparel Manufacturing Company ROLE : A leading multinational apparel manufacturing organization is looking for a highly creative and technically strong Senior Product Developer – Sweater to support its expanding knitwear and sweater operations in Bangladesh. The role requires a passionate product development professional with strong exposure to sweater innovation, knitwear engineering, and customer-focused development execution. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to transform design inspirations into commercially viable and technically executable products while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and international customers.

Key Responsibilities Interpret customer inspirations, seasonal concepts, sketches, mood boards, and trend directions into innovative sweater product developments. Convert design concepts into technically feasible sweater constructions suitable for large-scale manufacturing environments.

Collaborate closely with Design, Technical, Merchandising, Sampling, and Production teams to ensure smooth development execution. Drive product innovation by introducing modern knit structures, yarn combinations, stitch developments, washes, and finishing applications. Ensure product aesthetics, fit, construction quality, garment functionality, and commercial viability are maintained throughout development stages.

Support the preparation and review of technical packs, ensuring development accuracy and completeness for sampling and production teams. Work closely with sampling teams to ensure proper execution of knit structures, gauges, trims, embellishments, and finishing techniques. Provide technical troubleshooting support during development and coordinate solutions with relevant teams to avoid delays.

Monitor sample progress, development timelines, and approval processes to ensure timely delivery of development samples. Coordinate with internal manufacturing teams to align factory technical capabilities with customer development expectations. Participate in development reviews, customer presentations, product discussions, and range-building initiatives.

Support customer visits, development meetings, and product review sessions while strengthening customer confidence and relationships. Partner closely with UK and overseas development teams to ensure alignment between customer expectations and factory execution capabilities. Ensure strong communication flow across all development stages to achieve speed-to-market and operational excellence.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across sweater product development processes and innovation capabilities. Candidate Profile Minimum 8–12 years of relevant experience in Sweater / Knitwear Product Development within reputed apparel manufacturing organizations. Strong technical expertise in sweater constructions, knitwear development, yarn behavior, stitch techniques, and gauge management.

Proven exposure in handling international apparel customers and global development processes. Strong understanding of sweater sampling, proto development, fit management, and commercialization processes. Ability to convert creative concepts into technically executable and production-friendly sweater products.

Excellent coordination skills with Design, Technical, Merchandising, Production, and Customer teams. Strong understanding of garment aesthetics, product engineering, and technical problem solving. Exposure to multinational apparel manufacturing environments will be considered a strong advantage.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and execution capabilities. Ability to work effectively within fast-moving, deadline-driven development environments.
