Job Details Requisition ID : 295949 Relocation Authorized : None Telework Type : Part-Time Telework Work Location : Chandler, AZ Job Summary Bechtel’s Manufacturing and Technology Business Unit (M&T) is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to support a semiconductor project. Reporting to the Process Engineering Group Supervisor, this role provides technical coordination, discipline execution, and interface management for high‑purity gas and chemical systems. The position leads design development for industrial and specialty gas systems and bulk and planar chemical systems, applying applicable codes, standards, design practices, and semiconductor quality requirements.

This position is designated as part‑time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in‑person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in‑person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership. Major Responsibilities Plans, executes, and reviews process engineering work for technical accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.

Coordinates assigned scope with execution offices, shared‑work teams, subcontractors, and client representatives. Develops work plans aligned with project scope, schedule, and budget, and supports client approval of process engineering deliverables. Communicates technical issues to management and recommends practical solutions.

Evaluates subcontractor work for conformance with design intent and schedule requirements. Supports technical training and promotes an open, collaborative, and innovative team environment. Education And Experience Requirements Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10+ years of relevant experience or 14+ years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge And Skills Professional Engineering license, or ability to obtain registration, preferred. Strong knowledge of semiconductor process gas and chemical systems, including industrial, inert, high‑hazard, and high‑purity specialty gases; bulk and planar chemicals; and related storage, blending, dispensing, piping, tubing, valves, and equipment. Experience designing, constructing, or commissioning process systems that handle Hazardous Production Materials.

Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards, including EPA, IBC, IFC, NFPA, ASME, ANSI, API, CGA, SEMI, and ISO. Experience supporting engineering deliverables through design, procurement, construction, and commissioning, with awareness of other discipline roles. Strong communication, prioritization, issue‑resolution, and influencing skills across clients, matrixed teams, and global shared‑work teams.
