About the Role Systems Engineering Lead Investigator with active TS/SCI clearance to work onsite in Richardson, TX. Responsible for overseeing prototype development, issue resolutions, and technological planning for a complex program. Coordinates with customer teams, program leadership, and other teams to ensure prototype meets system requirements.
What You Will Do Manage end-to-end prototype lifecycle, from conceptual design and lab setup to software configuration, troubleshooting, and final documentation. Identify material requirements (hardware, software, supplemental staffing, etc.). Ensure finalized thin-line prototypes are validated by the Solution Architect, OCE, and IPAT Lead prior to the start and end of testing.
Primary focus on architect risk, identified by the Solution Architect. Create the thin-line prototype and evaluate technology options. Identify any problems related to security, scalability, and overall solution fit within the DIPN environment.
Qualifications You Must Have Experience working with Harvester and Kubernetes. Systems of Systems integration experience from a design/architecture perspective. Extensive experience designing detailed full‑stack platform solutions, including trade studies, cost, schedule, and technical aspects.
Familiarity with most technologies appropriate for deployable open systems infrastructures, including MOSA approaches, CI/CD, commercial cloud (AWS and Azure), hybrid cloud, edge cloud architectures, Linux-based systems, Microsoft ecosystem including Azure and Azure Stack, microservices/containerization/Kubernetes and service mesh routing, modern network technologies, CSfC encryption, cross‑domain solutions, modern authorization/ICAM/Zero‑Trust architectures, data management/synchronization, DDIL, and tactical system development. Familiarity with operational U.S. military systems deployed into the tactical echelon, including tactical and strategic back‑haul voice and data communications (Tactical Data Links), sensor integration, military commercial cloud integration, and broad experience developing automated deployment and testing of complex systems using Ansible, Terraform, Docker, Rancher Kubernetes. Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued TSSCI required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship required. Qualifications We Prefer Curious self‑starter that can excel in a prototyping environment to turn customer desire into executable solution candidates.
Senior level technical consulting experience including experience interfacing with internal and external stakeholders. Successful track record of performing complex system deployments. People leadership experience; mentoring, coaching, and building high‑performing engineering teams.
Familiarity with Enterprise Application development and deployment processes. Experience designing, implementing, and supporting Kubernetes in DDIL environments. Experience implementing Cloud Service Provider (AWS/Azure) services in DDIL environments.
Experience designing, implementing, and supporting Service Mesh environments. Extensive Linux development experience. Experience with SAFe agile processes.
Prior military or hands‑on experience with tactical military IT systems in production use. Familiarity with USAF operational and tactical CONOPS. Cameo or MagicGrid‑based MBSE modelling.
