Job Description

This is a strong opportunity for a Cisco-focused Pre-Sales Architect to join a well-established, engineering-led organisation with a long-standing reputation in enterprise networking. The business has built its success on deep Cisco expertise, operating at a high level within the partner ecosystem for decades, with a strong focus on on-premise enterprise and campus network solutions. You’ll be working in a strategic pre-sales role, owning the technical solution from initial customer engagement through to HLD, BOM creation, and proposal delivery, while collaborating closely with sales and delivery teams. There is also a forward-looking element to the role, with increasing focus on product development, AI in data centre environments, and next-generation architectures such as Hyperfabric and Cisco ACI. If you’re a Cisco specialist who wants to stay technically credible while operating in a customer-facing, solution-led role, this is a clean fit. Responsibilities: • Lead the technical pre-sales process for enterprise networking opportunities. • Design and present Cisco-based networking and security solutions. • Produce High Level Designs (HLDs) and architecture documentation. • Build detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) using tools such as Cisco CCW. • Deliver technical presentations and act as a trusted advisor to customers. • Work closely with sales teams on solution positioning and account strategy. • Engage with internal delivery teams to ensure solution viability. • Stay aligned with evolving technologies including AI-driven infrastructure and modern data centre architectures. Technical Environment: • ~85% Cisco (core focus) • ~15% Fortinet • Cisco Campus Networks (Switching, Wireless, Security) • Cisco Meraki • Cisco ISE • Cisco Firepower • Emerging: Cisco ACI, Hyperfabric, AI in DC Skills / Must Have: • Strong experience in a Pre-Sales / Solutions Architect role. • Background within a Cisco partner environment. • Deep knowledge of enterprise and campus networking. • Hands-on experience with: – Cisco Switching & Wireless – Cisco ISE – Cisco Firepower – Meraki solutions • Experience producing HLDs and BOMs (CCW experience beneficial). • Strong presentation and customer-facing skills. Nice to Have: • CCNP or CCIE level certifications. • Exposure to Fortinet solutions. • Experience with Cisco ACI or data centre networking. • Interest in emerging technologies such as AI in infrastructure environments.
