Senior Network Security Analyst - Checkpoint Firewall

We are looking for an experienced SME Network Security Analyst to support a large enterprise environment, with a strong focus on Checkpoint firewall security, network controls, documentation reviews, and remediation activity. This role would suit someone with a strong background in network security, infrastructure security, or firewall engineering, who is confident working with system owners, technical teams, and stakeholders to identify security gaps and drive improvements . Key responsibilities: Review network security controls, documentation, risks, and remediation plans Provide SME-level support across Checkpoint firewall environments Work with system owners and infrastructure teams to identify and resolve security gaps Support security control reviews across firewalls, proxies, IDS/IPS, HIPS, anti-malware, and MSS environments Produce clear reports and documentation for technical and non-technical stakeholders Support audit, regulatory, and compliance-related security activity Key skills required: 6–7+ years’ experience in network security, infrastructure security, or firewall engineering Strong hands-on experience with Checkpoint firewalls Good knowledge of network protocols including TCP/UDP, DNS, DHCP, IPsec, and HTTP Broad enterprise infrastructure knowledge across Windows, Linux, networking hardware, middleware, and databases Strong understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, OWASP, PCI DSS, GLBA, FFIEC, or EU privacy standards Strong stakeholder management, communication, and report-writing skills Nice to have Experience in financial services or another highly regulated environment Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA Experience with mentoring, vendor management, or audit/regulatory activity If you have strong Checkpoint firewall experience and enjoy working across security controls, remediation, and stakeholder engagement, please apply or get in touch for more details.
