Job Title: Senior Network Planning & Security Engineer (Architect Tier) Experience:7-11year s Locati on: Chenn ai Position Overv iewWe are seeking a highly accomplished and mature Senior Network Planning & Security Engineer to join our global infrastructure team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between high-level architectural design and complex technical implementation. You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle—planning, designing, and implementing—next-generation enterprise routing, software-defined networks (SD-WAN), and perimeter security frameworks to ensure maximum uptime, scalability, and strict regulatory complian ce.

Key Responsibili tiesArchitecture & Design: Own the creation of High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), and detailed network topology mapping for global corporate netwo rks. Infrastructure Transformation: Lead complex, minimal-downtime legacy-to-next-gen migration projects, including hardware refreshes, datacenter expansions, and multi-site roll outs. WAN Optimization: Onboard, configure, and manage modern Software-Defined WAN templates and policies (Cisco Viptela / Meraki) to optimize enterprise traffic ro uting.

Perimeter Security & Traffic: Define, review, and implement robust security profiles, rules, and zones on Next-Generation Firewalls (Palo Alto / Panorama / FortiGate), proxies (Zscaler), and Load Balancers (F5 BIG-IP LT M/GTM). Governance & Compliance: Execute scheduled Disaster Recovery (DR) drills, develop strict Method of Procedures (MOPs/SOPs), and ensure network standards align with global high-compliance industry fra meworks. Automation & Maintenance: Collaborate on infrastructure-as-code initiatives using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Python to automate repetitive configuration tasks and enforce standar dization.

Required Technical Stack & Experience Experience: 8 to 12 years of progressive engineering experience in large-scale Enterprise LAN/WAN and Datacenter environments. Prior experience in high-uptime, compliance-heavy domains (such as Banking, Financial Services, or Telecom infrastructure) is highly preferred. Routing & Switching: Expert-level command of BGP, OSPF, Cisco Nexus switches (NX-OS), and high-end enterprise routing platforms (e.g., Cis co ASR/ISR).

SD-WAN & Security: Direct, hands-on deployment experience with Cisco Viptela SD-WAN, Palo Alto (Panorama), Fortinet, and Zscal er (ZIA/ZPA). Network Services: Deep understanding of Identity Services (Cisco ISE), Load Balancing (F5), and IP Address Management (Infob lox DNS/DHCP). Preferred CertificationsActive CCNP (Routing & Switching / Enterprise) or equivalent expert-level vendor certification (e.g., PCNSE).

ITIL v4 Foundation or higher certification demonstrating a strong grasp of corporate change-m anagement rigor.
