Senior Network Cabling Technician

Stream Technical Services is a fast-growing communications company, in the Calgary/Alberta market. In business for over 6 years, we specialize in all aspects of the Communications Industry.

Network Cabling, Fiber Distribution, CCTV, Access Control, Enterprise LTE Distribution, Building Controls.

Due to this growth, we are looking for a hands-on Senior Technician/Supervisor with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the industry.

Knowledge of Network Cabling, Fiber is a must. A basic understanding of CCTV and Access Control would be good to have.

Must have a willingness to Learn new technologies, Lead team members on a day-to-day basis, and Teach subordinates what they need to know to complete installs to standards and codes.

The successful candidate will be part of a close-knit team with over 30 years’ experience in the industry.

You will be responsible for:

- Installation of structured cabling/fibre as required.

- Service, Maintenance and Emergency calls as required.

- Supervising installations at various locations throughout our region of coverage.

- Ordering Materials specific to job requirements and maintaining inventory.

- Ensure paperwork is correctly completed by subordinates.

- Ability to work with management to schedule techs and projects.

- Able to work both in the field and office as required and be able to shift to office full time in the future.

Must have a strong work ethic, good communications skills, positive attitude, and ability to work well with others, as well as work on your own.

Must have valid driver’s license and ability to work in Calgary and travel throughout Western Canada as required.
