Senior Mechanical Engineer Industry: Advanced Engineering & Manufacturing Salary: £60k-£65k Location: Cambridge An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a highly innovative engineering business developing cutting-edge precision technology products. This role offers the chance to work within a multidisciplinary R&D environment, leading the design and development of next-generation products from concept through to production. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, leading projects, and mentoring junior team members while working on highly sophisticated mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities: Design and develop precision mechanical products and assemblies Create tooling, jigs, and fixtures Take designs from concept through to prototype and validation Produce 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings Carry out mechanical analysis and support product testing Support manufacturing and continuous improvement activities Mentor junior engineers and support team development Skills & Experience Required: Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar Experience in precision engineering or advanced product development Strong SolidWorks 3D CAD and detailing experience Good understanding of GD&T and precision manufacturing Experience designing tooling, fixtures, or production equipment Knowledge of FEA and mechanical analysis Hands-on approach with prototyping and problem solving If you are looking to join an innovative engineering business where you can work on technically challenging projects and play a key role in product development, then apply with a copy of your CV.
