Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, development, and integration of shipboard mechanical systems and hardware for U.S. Navy platforms. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in a mission-driven environment, understands naval design standards, and can guide complex mechanical solutions from concept through fleet deployment.


Primary Responsibilities



  • Lead the design and analysis of shipboard mechanical hardware including enclosure, cooling systems, shock isolated assemblies, and equipment racks.

  • Develop 3D models, perform engineering calculations, tolerance analysis and material selections to ensure performance in harsh maritime environments including Mil-DTL-901E and Mil-STD-810.

  • Coordinate mechanical interfaces with electrical, structural, and systems engineering teams.


Basic Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

  • 10 years of mechanical design experience with at least 3 years supporting US Navy hardware.

  • Strong SolidWorks CAD design skills.

  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Strong SolidWorks Finite Element Analysis skills.

  • Experience with shipboard installation design, ship checks, and shipyard coordination.

  • Knowledge of Additive Manufacturing techniques.

Pay Range


Pay Range $131,300.00 - $237,350.00
